About Us

James (Jim) Jackson
MS, OTR/L, CHT

Jim is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1970 and a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Buffalo in 1978. He was certified in Hand Therapy in 1991 and has over 35 years of experience in treating disease and trauma of the upper extremity. Jim opened his private practice in 1982 and is presently the owner/director of KHPT. Jim served in the Army Reserve Medical Specialist Corp for 22 years and retired as a major.

Fredd Tirado
OTR/L, CHT

Fredd graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Florida International University in 2001. He was born and raised in South Florida and is proud to serve and rehabilitate patients both in his local and international community. Fredd is also a Board Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) trained to treat complex Upper Quadrant/ Quarter injuries in a professional and supportive manner in order to restore full use of his patients’ affected extremities for work/daily activities. Additionally, he is certified to complete Pre-Employment screenings. Fredd enjoys spending his free time with family and kayaking in the Florida Keys.

Jessyka Perez
MS, OTR/L

Jessyka is a certified Occupational Therapist. She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Jessyka has many aspirations, one which includes becoming a Certified Hand Therapist. She landed her dream job by performing outstanding in her internships and being recognized by those she impacted. On her down time, she enjoys outdoor adventures, spending time with family , and a good game on her phone.

Alec McClain

Alec McClain is a certified Occupational Therapist from Cincinnati, Ohio. Alec graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health in 2021.  He moved to Miami to pursue his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Florida International University, where he graduated cum laude in 2023. Alec found his passion for orthopedics during his internship at KHPT, where he received an invitation to join our OT team after graduation. During his free time, Alec enjoys spending time with his friends, family and dogs, basketball (playing and watching), football (especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals), music, and movies.

Olivia Booher

Olivia Booher is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist who graduated from Florida International University, and born and raised in South Florida. With a commitment to delivering client-centered care, Olivia aims to meet the unique needs of each individual and is passionate about helping clients meet their goals and achieve independence. Olivia is dedicated to her field of hand therapy and ensures patients receive compassionate, evidence-based care. 

Elias Henriquez
PT, DPT

Elias Henriquez graduated from St. Thomas University with his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2005. He went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2020. Prior to earning his Doctorate, he worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant after graduating from Miami Dade College in 2009. His passion is treating the outpatient orthopedic population and has over 10 years’ experience in the field. Elias has treated a variety of post-Surgical procedures, as well as common sprains and strains and everything in between. Dr. Henriquez keeps up to date with the latest evidence in practice and is currently pursuing Certification in the Mckenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment. He enjoys reading for leisure and personal/ professional growth, and spending time with his wife and children.

Aaron Dos Santos
PTA

Aaron graduated with a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy from FIU in 2017 and attained an AS in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2020. Aaron has a long history of team sports and exercise experience. He enjoys mixing his experience with his work and enjoys sport specific training. Another passion of his are Dad jokes and puns, so be ready for terribly great jokes.

Monique

Monique received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in 2022. Monique joined us in April 2024 and brings a passion for working with individuals with orthopedic and neurological conditions helping them return to active lifestyles. She specializes in personalized treatment of geriatrics, post-operative rehabilitation, neck and back pain, and lower extremity injuries. During her free time, Monique enjoys staying active by engaging in HIIT, jogging, and playing tennis.
